Week of September 13th

This week ended with a fun learning day.  We did Creation Station where the kids had $7.00 to buy supplies to create something.  It was neat to see what they came up with especially for those kids that did not plan well in their buying.  Also, we did a STEM activity involving building a tower that could hold an apple.  They had to work together to come up with a plan.  You can check out the videos on Seesaw.

In phonics we work on l blends and in math we introduced place value.  Some of us skill need some practice.  We read different books about apples and worked on the main idea and supporting details.

Next week we will work with r blend is in phonics.  Our red words are: you, so, was and saw. Please be sure to practice those words with your child for the spelling test on Friday.  In math we will continue to work with place value and move into time.
