End of First Grade and Moving to Second Grade

It was great to see everyone yesterday for our last day in the building!

I just want to take a moment and thank you for sharing your wonderful children with me this year. They have made my life so much brighter and they have taught me so much. I hope that I was able to teach them a lot too.

I can’t believe the year is over. I was so lucky to be your first grade teacher. Remember to work hard and you will go far.

I hope you all have a wonderful and safe summer and come back and visit me next year.

If you get a chance email me a picture of the adventures that you are having this summer or post them on Seesaw!

Take Care! See you soon!

Happy Mother’s Day

I hope you all had a wonderful day!

This will be our last week of focused, academic assignments. I emailed assignments tonight. Next week, we will do common activities as a student body, as we would do if we were together in our building.

I am still working and planning at home and will continue to reach out via email and Zoom.

Don’t forget to book at time to come up to Rocky Mount (Wednesday – Thursday) this week to pick up your child’s supplies and return media center books.

Have a great week!

I know there have been challenges, but I hope you and your families have been able to take a break and enjoy some fun time together as well.  I have enjoyed our Zoom meetings and so glad Dr. Doolittle, Mrs. Brown and Mrs. McCleskey have been able to join us. We all miss seeing you each day.

I encourage you to continue to work hard but also enjoy time with your family.
